The World Scout Foundation and The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) are deeply concerned by the military operation towards Ukraine and the overall deteriorating security situation in the region. Ukraine is currently experiencing a humanitarian crisis resulting from a military attack affecting millions of people in the country and creating an unstable security situation in the region. Ukrainians now live in a state of emergency and require support and solidarity from across the Scout Movement and beyond.

Scouting has a long and proud history of promoting peace, dialogue and human rights, including the rights of children all around the world, particularly in areas where conflict arises. 

An emergency response is being coordinated by the World Organization of the Scout Movement in collaboration with its Eurasia Support Centre and the National Scout Organization in Ukraine to respond to the unfolding humanitarian situation in the country, which is impacting millions of people. This funding will provide direct support to the National Organization of Scouts of the Ukraine to assist with the coordination of local emergency response and humanitarian relief efforts to affected people and communities.
